6 August 1912 — Lutterworth
Tuesday. 6th [August 1912]. I had yesterday a letter from Lord Kitchener saying he will call for me tomorrow in London & take me down to see Broome Hall so I had to return today to town. I left directly after luncheon by 1.40 train & got to town at 5. Blanche dropped in to see me & conveyed a message from Onie Oranmore asking me to dine there tonight wh I did. Met the Bessboroughs & Irene Congreve there (12 Cavendish Place).
