22 August 1912 — Bessborough, Fiddown, County Kilkenny
Thursday. 22nd [August 1912]. I drove out with Blanche in motor after lunch to call on Mr & Mrs Dela Poer—charming people who live beyond Clonmel. Found them at home & recognised amongst the family a girl with whom Irène & I travelled over here the other day. After our visit to them we called on the Dowr Dss of St Albans at Newtown Anna & found her with a Mrs Edmond Phipps & a Mrs Grey– The house is not very pretty outside but is full of nice things. We had tea in the hall & started home afterwards.
