24 August 1912 — Bessborough, Fiddown, County Kilkenny | |
Saturday. 24th [August 1912]. Vere & I had a good morning’s work at painting the scenery we are preparing for “The Romeo & Juliette” to be performed by amateurs here at Christmas. I am doing for him a view of Italian hills wh may pass for near Verona. In the evening Baron & Bss de Neuflize arrived on a visit from Paris. They are the parents of Robert Duncannon & have not been here before. The Baroness was tired & did not appear in the evening. | |
