30 August 1912 — Bessborough, Fiddown, County Kilkenny | |
Friday. 30th [August 1912]. A fine day at last! what a pleasure! Unfortunately I had rather a headache & so could not paint with Vere with any zest. In the afternoon the Dela Poer family came over & we had to walk about with them, show them the garden & watch lawn tennis. Edward returned from London by the night train, at 7 this morning. Took our usual long walk Blanche & I before dinner. There was a great card game of “Coon can” after dinner but I slipped off early to bed. | |
