9 September 1912 — En route to Venice | |
Monday. 9th [September 1912]. Reached Venice at 4.30 & glad to have afternoon tea tho’ we were not fatigued. Sig. Arbib came in to see us & say he had arranged for packing all Lord Kitchener’s furniture to carry away with him at the end of this month when he passes thro’ to Egypt. Dined at 8 & sat in Belvedere in evening playing patience till bed time. | |
