24 September 1912 — Ca’ Capello, Venice | |
Tuesday. 24th [September 1912]. After lunch had a visit from a Miss Ballisranbe with an introduction from Mr Bliss. Nela & I went out in gondola to Sigr Arbib’s house to see about the packing of Lord Kitchener’s goods which he is taking with him to Egypt. On to the Hospital & home to tea. Had my usual reception in the evening to wh came a good many English people passing thro’ Venice—this being the tourist season– They had all left by 11. | |
