20 March 1862 — Exeter House, Roehampton | |
Thursday. 20th [March 1862]. Down pretty early—heard from Mama & Mr Layard. Ivor still better. The letter was camphorated for fear of infection. Ecca did not get up not being very well. It rained hard all day 24 hours steady rain. Practised and helped to write Portland Times– Went to bed rather early & had a letter from Susan Hamond by late post– | |
