22 June 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Sunday. 22nd [June 1862]. Late for breakfast, went to Church– Mr Ponsonby preached text Romans 9.11v.– Luncheon at 1– Went to Church again. Mr Daniel preached. Mr P. read—4 ch. 1 St John—17 v. After church Lady Louisa brought the children to have tea. After tea I walked up to the Vicarage and then to call upon Mrs Pyne. Went back to the Vicarage and walked up and down the garden talking to Ly Louisa till Blanche and May came and then went home with B. Dinner at 9– Went to Luffs room with Arthur—to bed at 10½– Letter from Lady Huntly– | |
