24 June 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Tuesday. 24th [June 1862]. Breakfast at ten. Blanche read Psalms to me in morng. Practised 1½ hr. Set up type after Luncheon and then went out walking by myself. I went first to Mrs Allen at the Lodge and had a long chat with her– Then to Mrs Latimer and gave her the pinnafores I worked—to Mrs Meaby’s & Mrs Pynes and left the books at Lady Louisa’s. Dinner late and went to bed at 10½. | |
