29 June 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Sunday. 29th [June 1862]. Down to breakfast at 20 10 and made tea—went to church. Mr Daniel preached both times in morng, the text 22nd Luke verse, in aftern 23rd Luke 34th verse– After aftern church I went with Temmy to Mrs Pynes to tea, found Schr. Then we walked up and down with Mr P. We stayed tea and they came home to dinner. I had to ask Schr whether the boy might go to London. Trenfield woke me up in the morng with a registered parcel from London & Ryders containing 3 lockets from Montie, one a piece of onyx with a diamond star– They are so pretty & how Kind of Montie– Dinner at 8. After dinner sat in hall and talked about Arkwrights with Ivory & the M. Bed at 11. | |
