30 June 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Monday. 30th [June 1862]. Trenfield came in early in the morng to fetch my notes to Ria and they went off by 8½ train. Marybeth dressed me, I was rather late– Went up to print in morng till luncheon with Ivor and Merthyr. I was going out with Blanche in poney carriage only we heard that Montie was comg by the ¼ 4 train and so she went alone to meet him– I sat on the lawn with Snips and read. Had tea at 5 & Temmy came out to have some. Wrote letters to Kitty and Maria– Dinner at 8½– Came up after dinner with Merthyr to Blanches room. The M came and turned us all out. Bed at 11 and Elizabeth put me to bed. She stayed late talking to me. | |
