14 July 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Monday. 14th [July 1862]. I was very late this morng and had my breakfast brought up to my room, went to the study & read & worked all the morng. Connie printed– After luncheon I laid down on my bed and fell fast asleep—at four I went out in Luffs Pony carriage with Ecca and taking Richd Brown– We went thro’ Throop & round by Xchurch road– Went to the Pynes to tea & as we came home met Schr & Connie going out in the basket carriage– Had a very dull dinner– Connie went to bed before– I came up the moment after dinner & went up & arranged some type after Elizabet’s supper—taking her with me. I went to bed at 11.20– | |
