16 July 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Wednesday. 16th [July 1862]. Not so very late for breakfast, went into study to hear bible read– Wrote letters the whole morng– I went out driving in the sociable with Ecca round by Kinson Pottery & Poole road– I did a little cleaning up in the tool room before I went out– I got out at Mrs Pynes & had tea there– Ecca went home in the carriage and then came and fetched me later– Very late dinner. I played backgammon with Ecca after dinner and went to bed at 10½– | |
