31 July 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Thursday. 31st July [1862]. I mooned about all the morng doing nothing particular. Merthyr left by middle day train. I went out in the afternoon with Cecil and Kate in the dog cart & Monty & FEB in the Whitechapel. We went almost to Poole and came back by the plantations. The road was so heavy I was obliged to walk most of the way– Arthur returned– We did a little quiet dancing in the eveng. | |
