9 August 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Saturday. 9th [August 1862]. We got up early as Blossett, Cecil & Kate went off by the 9 oclock train & Merthyr left by 1 ocl train. I practised in morng. FEB & Montie played billiards after luncheon. I went for a walk in the Queens walk & called at the Pynes who were out. FEB rode with Montie & met some men fighting. | |
