9 September 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Tuesday. 9th [September 1862]. I and Connie washed china the whole morng and I printed in the afternoon till 5 when I went for a drive in the poney carriage with Schr. We went to the Hive but found S.G.O. had not returned from his sailing. We walked down to the beach where we discovered that he & Mr Pon: had just landed and had gone to the house. We found them at last after having played bo-peep with them for some time & after a short conversation we brought Mr Pon: home in the poney carriage and arrived in time for dinner. | |
