15 September 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Monday. 15th [September 1862]. Today there came over an eleven from Winton nr Christchurch to play and were beaten. We sat out all day. Mr Fetherstonhaugh’s throat was very bad & he was unable to play but he sat with the M. in my room where they cd see the game. We had some music before dinner & Ivor & I sang together after dinner—whilst the others played billiards. | |
