19 September 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Friday. 19th [September 1862]. I had breakfast in bed & woke up very much tired. As soon as I was up I practised till lunch time. After lunch I went and printed till 5. I then went & had tea in the conservatory. Ecca Con: Blanche & May & Ethel Pon: came to tea and then we walked back to the vicarage with them. We were talking to Mr Pon: when our carriage arrived from Bourne and Lady L. got out and I got in and drove home with the M. I read & worked till dinner. After dinner I read out to the M. & went to bed after 11– | |
