22 September 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Monday. 22nd [September 1862]. Was so late that I had breakfast in bed and then had my hair burnt with Smiths stuff. I then went up & printed till luncheon. After luncheon I again printed till 5 when I went with Ecca to Mrs Pynes. We then came back here & Ivor & I made up our minds to go to the Missionary meeting with the others held in the school. We got in there after they had begun & fd Mr Willett Adye in the chair, & Mr Leaper, Mr Williamson, Mr Huckstable & Mr Ponsonby besides some villagers. The speaking was over at 9 & we returned home and had dinner—after dinner Ivor sang & I played. To bed at 12– | |
