24 September 1862 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Wednesday. 24th [September 1862]. There was a cricket match today against the Christchurch Club. It was rather a wet day & we could not go out till the afternoon. I printed a little & helped Car to write. After luncheon I went and got Maria some flowers and we put them up in the new epergne. Mrs Pyne came in the afternoon to see Maria’s children. Mr & Mrs Malice Graham came at about 7. Very quiet dinner. I sat next to Mr Graham but he did not speak at all. Singing in the eveng. | |
