After L I & Mrs F. & Blan: went to the school where the carriage picked up me & Mrs F. and we then went for a drive on the x church road home by Throop. We canvassed Mrs Hambro a good deal & had a regular dow: drive. We came home and had some tea. Mr & Mrs Hambro then set to work to mend the tambourine & mended it beautifully. Dinner was very late. After dinner Ivor dressed as a female and Arthur as a Spaniard and danced with tambourine & castanets. Con: also did her growing housemaid– Had some soda water in Mrs Hambro’s room & then sat up writing till 2½. Ivor came about that time to fetch away Snips from Blanche. | |
