8 November 1862 — Exeter House, Roehampton | |
Saturday. 8th [November 1862]. I sat & wrote in our study all the morng & Ecca, I, & Con: had lunch alone the others having gone to town—after lunch we went back to the study & I practised my con: when Miss R looked in and relaxing came in, embraced us both and sat & talked to us. Con: went over in the poney carriage to Richd & Ecca & I walked to Putney. We met the Pigou’s & Mr Waller. When we came back we found Maria & Con: returned. Had tea in the study. I read out loud in eveng. | |
