12 January 1863 — Exeter House, Roehampton | |
Monday. 12th [January 1863]. I and Thomas set off at 10 in the barouche with my box on the seat for Padding: Station—arrived there I immediately found Ivor who got the tickets, we got in the train on our way to Hampton Ct. At Swindon we got out and refreshed and were delighted and surprised there to see Fanny Ark: & Mr & Mrs Robert Wigram– We got to Hampton Ct at about 7 or 6½, had some tea & then dressed for dinner. Found Mr & Mrs H. Lennox—Lord & Lady Enfield—Mr Lethbridge—& Kenyons– | |
