2 March 1863 — Exeter House, Roehampton
Monday. 2nd March [1863]. At 10½ I set out for my drawing lesson but first went to pick up Lilly Holland. We then went on to Mr Stuart Wortleys at East Sheen where we take our drawing lesson once a week. Came back by 2½. Maria came over & asked me to walk to town with her. We set out but it began to rain when [we] got to Putney & we turned back. I wrote letters, worked and practised till dinner– After dinner I began writing out the visiting list & to bed at 11–
