18 March 1863 — Exeter House, Roehampton
Wednesday. 18th [March 1863]. Down at 10½ found I was the 1st of the three– We had Mme Dupuis all the morng for Italian and singing– After luncheon I did some work & when the M had started for town at 3½ I practised till 5½. The M. showed us a copy of her “Mabinogion” she had had bound as a present to HRH the Prince of Wales in white moirè & gold– She sent them thro’ Lord Spencer. Had 5 tea with Temmie in my room and had Thomas to experimentize on my hair till dinner time. Worked in the eveng. Bed at 11– Con: came & sat in my room.
