26 May 1863 — Exeter House, Roehampton | |
Tuesday. 26th [May 1863]. Blossett came at 11 ocl: & she, Temmy, Blanche & I went to walk in the park. Con: & Schr rode. We sat down nr Rotten Row & saw a good many people but only spoke to Sir R. Musgrave– Saw H.R.H. riding– Came home to luncheon & soon after Flamanck arrived to take me to Felicia’s. We went in a hansom & when we got to Chesham Place we found F. had gone to the dog show at Islington with Fanny, Emmy & Tony Hamond so I got into the Hamonds brougham with Milord & followed them, we soon found them in the building wh was the agricultural Hall & then went round to see the dogs for 2 hours & I met there a few people I knew. I, Fel: Milord & Mrs: B took a drive in the park when they left me at home where I dressed & got permission to go to the Opera with Felicia & B. We went to Her Majesty’s & saw Lucia di Lammermoor in wh Titiens sang splendidly & after was a most amusing Ballet called Bianchi e Negri. Val Hambro came up into our box & I saw the Bagots as we were going out. Bed at 1– | |
