13 December 1863 — Park Wern, nr. Swansea, Glamorgan
Sunday. 13th [December 1863]. We went to church & heard Mr M. Welby preach. After X we met the Singleton people who walked with us till lunch. After lunch Dulcie came & fetched me & Connie for a walk. Etta was gone with Mrs V. to see after her uncle Mr Jones who was laid up having met with a bad accident being knocked down by a train on the road & his foot lacerated. We all met & went to Singleton to tea, where afterwards came the M Schr & Hussey V’s & we walked back to Park Wern quite in the dark. I played a little music in the eveng & Connie wrote her alphabet in Billiards. Graham Vivian came in in the eveng with a bevy of pups.–
