21 May 1864 — 11 Cavendish Square | |
Saturday. 21st [May 1864]. Wrote cards in the morng & after lunch I went out in IBG’s brougham, left a note for L & F Gordon, went to see Miss Ark: but did not get out as I saw Rd Ark: at the door & gave him my message. Then I went to Ecceleston Square to fetch Minnie Balfour & we drove together to Roehampton to see Maria. We got there at 4 & found Mr & Mrs Glyn (he just going away) & Mrs Layard. We sat with them, had T. and played with the children till 6½ when we went & walked round the garden at Exeter House and then went home, I setting down Minnie on my way. We talked abt Wags & the boys on the way home. | |
