27 May 1864 — 11 Cavendish Square | |
Friday. 27th [May 1864]. Got up at about 11 and after breakfast I went in to Susans to speak to Kate. They went to walk in the park and so I returned home. I was going out shopping with Maria but she put it off so late that I cd not go. Kate & Monty came to lunch and then I went to No. 14 to help K. to pack up and then put her in a cab & sent her to the station. I then dressed to drive with IBG but he did not come back so I went over to No. 14 at 5 and there met Lady Felmer & Lady A. Murray, R. O’Hara, Mr J. Thynne, Monty & H. Bourke & Lady Naas: They all sang & I played accompaniments. The M went to Roehampton so we had dinner without her and directly after went to see the Talbots for an hour at No. 3, and went to bed 10½. | |
