30 May 1864 — 11 Cavendish Square | |
Monday. 30th [May 1864]. Up rather late & made Ivor sing until 12 when I expected Hallé who did not come. I went to No 7 before lunch to see Mme Hallé & sat some time with her & saw him arrangg to have my lesson next Monday. In the eveng I went to Lady Cecilia de Voeux but 1st to Ly Molesworth—a very nice small drum there, on to Mrs Hy Bruce where we met Con & Schr. Con: had dined with IBG at the Rawlinsons. We went to Lady C’s D V’s ball wh was very bad & I saw abt 5 people I knew. Danced with little Glynne Vivian & a Mr J. Baird & soon went home with Ivor in his brougham. | |
