25 October 1864 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Tuesday. 25th [October 1864]. Rather late for breakfast. Ivor was late so I left the dining room to practise in the hall wh I did till 11. I then had a little talk with the M. & went up to print with Ivor. We set up & printed the title page before lunch. After lunch we returned to the schoolroom & put up some more; at 2.30 I went to the school & came back by 4. Sir Rd Glyn called. I telegraphed to Pyne for him. I returned to the printing & so did Ivor. We did the small title & monogram [IBG] & thus quite finished Part I of the S.H.E. We had eno’ time to write 2 letters before dinner. We had a merry dinner. After I played pieces & walzes a long time while Ivor walked up & down whistling & then Connie played a long time. I went up at 11– | |
