Tuesday. 10th [January 1865]. Got up early & ran in to say good bye to Maria & Grannie before I started. We went by train to town & on down into Norfolk. We got to Norwich abt 4 and had a 10 mile drive to the Fellowes’ Haverland Hall. We got in rather late, had T & went to dress. I was late for dinner & came in alone. Sat next to Johnny Mott & young Fellowes. We danced in the eveng. Besides ourselves were staying there Mr & Mrs Tom Fellowes, Miss Minnie Fellowes & a son—Mr & Mrs Frank Boileau, Mr & Miss Astley, J.
