18 January 1865 — Canford Manor, nr. Wimborne, Dorset | |
Wednesday. 18th [January 1865]. I was not at all well & Mrs Damer took me to her room & doctored me however I did not go down to lunch but Kate stayed with me & we had a long talk about FEB. At 5 Lady Felmer came in to us (In M’s sitting room) & sitting down fell into a faint. We got her to—& made her go up to her room where we sat a while & then went down to tea, & then went to lie down. Henry Layard came & I sat next to him at dinner. Schreiber fell & hurt his head & was obliged to go to bed. We danced in the evening till late. | |
