6 February 1865 — Paris | |
Monday. 6th [February 1865]. After breakfast Ivor went to the Tennis court to play with Evy Hambro & 2 others & Luff took me down to Gertie in a fiacre. I found her just having breakfasted (½ past 12) and we sat & talked & at 2 we sang duets. Had luncheon & Gertie gave me a little dog a King Charles– At 3 she took me out driving. We went to Boissier and bought some sugar plums, went to the Palais Royal where I bought a parure of silver– She brought me home at 5. I dressed and found Ivor had come in and we went to Durands to dine at 6. Found Evy H. there & the Clays joined us. Afterwards we went to the Opera Comique & saw Zampa wh was very pretty music but a dull piece, we eat lots of bonbons and laughed a good [deal] altogether finding it amusing. Went to bed as soon as we came in. | |
