We left by 1.30 train from Dorking & went to 21 Grafton St (a house we had hired of the widow of Sir G. Cornwall Lewis). Charlie Eliot came to call & Hy left him with me & went off at once to the Hse. After C.E. was gone, Adeline came to tea & then Blanche. Connie & Charlie called for us at 8 & we all went to dine at Langham House. Then met Maria & Rd, Adeline & Arthur & Monty. The M was at home but Schrei: away. Directly after dinner Hy & Arthur returned to the Hse & took down Adeline & Bee to hear the debate. Maria brought me home abt 11½. Hy returned abt 12.
