Wednesday. 2nd [June 1869]. Queen’s birthday & Hy dined at Lowe’s. I fetched him away & we went to the Clarendons party at the F.O. Every body was there & a great crowd. As we had the entrée by St James’ Park we got away early & went on to the Gladstones; found a very small party & did not stay late. | |
