Thursday. 3rd [June 1869]. My “at home” day. Mlle de Peyronnet & Mrs Ar Russell came to lunch. After lunch came Lady G. Gordon & Tony Hamond then; Mrs Millais who was smart in a green silk. I was putting up flowers a little later when Mrs Rate came but she did not stay very long. Connie dined with us. | |
