5 June 1869 — 21 Grafton Street | |
Saturday. 5th [June 1869]. In afternoon I drove with Hy to inspect Battersea Park & met G. Russell there. We called on the Somers but found them out. We dined at Mrs Burr’s & so did Bee. Mr Story the sculptor took me to dinner & I sat between him & Mr Burr. Afterwards went on to Sir Henry Holland’s 72 Brook St where we met the Roundell Palmers, Sir C. Trevelyan & his daughter, Mr Motley & his dr, Mrs Ives (a widow) &c. | |
