15 October 1869 — Naples | |
Friday. 15th [October 1869]. When I came to breakfast I found Castellani arrived with some coral necklaces to choose from so Henry gave me one. He & Henry went out after breakfast & I & Hill finished the packing and at 2 we went on board. In abt ½ hour I was rather ill & retired to the cabin & there remained till after dinner tho’ I was only ill once. I went on deck & Henry arranged for me to lie down on 2 benches where I was very comfortable. It was perfectly smooth & a lovely moonlight night & I lay there while Henry sat by me till bed time. | |
