19 October 1869 — Mâcon | |
Tuesday. 19th [October 1869]. At 8 o’clock we went on by train to Paris. We had a very comfortable journey tho’ very cold. We found M. Antoine Belard waiting at the station & he got our luggage for us while we went on at once to the Hotel S. Romain Rue du Dauphin. We were glad of dinner & a warm fire. We found a note from Miss Georgy Gordon saying she was in Paris. To bed early. | |
