24 March 1870 — Madrid | |
Thursday. 24th [March 1870]. This morning the M. & S went out china hunting with Giovanni & after lunch Henry took them to the Armoury. Venturita came in the afternoon & I took her out in the carriage; we went to pick up the M & S. & Henry & then went for a drive by the Palace & river & cemeteries & round by the Prado & home. In the evening we had my little musical party to dinner Mr Esperanza & Mr Ff: & Mr Gayangos Mr Inzenga. Afterwards the Hunts came & we had a charming evening playing & singing till quite late—mostly Spanish things. | |
