27 March 1870 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 27th [March 1870]. We went to church & in the afternoon went to the Concert. It was a miserable day—blowing hard and as we started there was a good deal of sleet & it was a very unpleasant day– Afterwards Henry took them to see the Bauers’ things & house & I came home & rested till dinner. Lady Blandford & Lady Georgina dined as Lord Blandford was gone to Toledo with Mr Ffrench for the day. We had also Cerruti and Dr Brehm to dine. | |
