8 May 1870 — Cordova
Sunday. 8th [May 1870]. Henry & Mrs Burr went out for a walk in the town but on account of my toe I stayed in. They returned to luncheon at 1 & we get ourselves ready & started by 1:40 train for Madrid. At Andujar station we saw some of [the] common drinking vessels of the country which are so pretty– At Mengibar we had a very good dinner, considering & afterwards settled ourselves in the train for the night & slept till 6.
