Sunday. 29th [May 1870]. We went to church, & in the afternoon I wrote out some dispatches for Henry. Saurma called. At 5 we took a drive in the Fuente & left cards. M & Mme Canitz—their cousin Miss Clifford & Cerruti dined with us. Von Orlich & Messrs Ash. & Sey. came in the evening—very hot & a storm threatened. It lightened a good deal– | |
