10 July 1870 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 10th [July 1870]. Henry was very busy going backwards & forwards to Mercier Prim &c & writing letters & despatches. Affairs still in very serious state. I wrote a lot of letters & read but I still felt rather unwell & so I laid on the sofa all the afternoon. After dinner Mr Hamilton Times Corres: came to see Henry & we had also Mme Riaño who came with her brother in law Mr B. Riaño who is staying with them. We went early to bed. | |
