18 September 1870 — Madrid | |
Sunday. 18th [September 1870]. Got up with headache & did nothing but watch the men doing the plants in the patio. At 5 I went out with Mrs Hunt to drive in the Fuente and picked up Henry who had been to the Bullfight & brought him home– Messrs Goschen, Seymour & a Mr Pearson dined & the Hunts & Cerruti came in the eveng but I was obliged to go to bed directly after dinner on account of my head. | |
