23 September 1870 — Madrid | |
Friday. 23rd [September 1870]. I worked all day at the tapestry taking off the 1st piece & Hill fixed another in the frame. We went out riding. Mr Whyte called also Cerruti. We rode thro’ Mon Cloa & back over the fields. The Hunts & Inzenga dined & Mr Goschen came in the eveng. We had a great deal of music trying over all the Glees wh were new to Inzenga & greatly pleased him. | |
