15 October 1870 — Madrid | |
Saturday. 15th [October 1870]. I went to the dentist at 10 & was to have gone to sit to Palmaroli but he put me off so I wrote a lot of letters in the morning. Arranged my room & the drawing room & Henry took a ride. De Martinos & Weisweiller & Canitz dined with us. Afterwards Inzenga the Hunts Palmaroli, Cerruti & Cabriani came in & we sang a little & Inz: played Beethoven at my request. We did not keep up late. | |
