17 October 1870 — Madrid | |
Monday. 17th [October 1870]. At 10 I went to the dentist & from there to the Regency & breakfasted there & then worked with the Dss till 2½. I went then to fetch Emilia & we shopped & I then brought her here & then showed her the lace I bought yesterday for 38 douros of the Mariana 16 years of old Flemish lace. Henry went out riding. Mr R. came to fetch E. & she went after tea. | |
