19 October 1870 — Madrid | |
Wednesday. 19th [October 1870]. I went to the dentist & he at last stopped my tooth. Thence went to Pal. to sit & at ¼ past 7 had singing lesson of Inzenga. At 4 I drove & went to fetch Clarita but she was out so I went on to take Mlle Aylton who accompanied me. This morng Mr Ashburnham arrived from England where he had been on leave. He dined with us & Cerruti came in afterwards, we separated early. Sagasta called today. | |
